”Be Happy, Stay Positive”
Although it may be easy to understand that becoming healthier can be a cause for joy, or getting sick can spoil productivity, but according to Dr. Barbara Fredrickson, PhD., scientists now recognize that there is a much deeper connection between positivity and health.
Some studies show a reliable link of positivity to biological markers of health. For example, positivity predicts lower-level of stress-related hormones and higher levels of growth-related and bond-related hormones.
Positivity also sends out more dopamine and opioids that enhance immune system functioning and diminish inflammatory response to stress. When you are positive, it changes your biochemistry, so it should not be surprising that positivity brings lower blood pressure, less pain, few colds, better sleep, and lowers your risk for certain diseases. No wonder scientists are now saying positivity predicts a longer life.
